Resident of San Jose
Chimenti, Antone, 92, lifelong San Jose resident passed away Aug. 26 at Angels Manor Care Home. Preceded in death by Geraldine, his beloved wife of 61 years, he is survived by son Richard Chimenti and wife Rebecca of Twain Harte, CA, and daughter Susan Villarreal of San Jose. Grandfather to Eron Villarreal and wife Noriko, and Devin Villarreal, and great grandfather of Keishin Villarreal, he is also survived by his sister, Lucille Basso and husband Jim of San Jose and many nieces and nephews.

Involved in bicycling from a young age, he was a long time member of San Jose Bicycle Club and later owned Willow Cyclery in Willow Glen for many years before retiring. A veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict, Antone served aboard ship as a Navy radioman, participating in the invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He was an accomplished handyman, and had a neighborhood reputation that he could 'fix anything!'

Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11am Tuesday, Sept. 10th at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose.
