Vickie,Diane, Lynn and Greg..

Again thanks for being part of the family. Your parents where awesome people, parents, grandparents and also teachers. I always had fun going to the Murphy's even in San Mateo without the pool. Very fond memeories. Our parents did one thing very well and that was to keep the family together in love and celebration. I always looked forward to the Holiday dinners and gatherings. They included everybody. This is something that I miss and wish maybe at least once a year get all of us together so our children and grand children can get to know their fantastic blood relatives. Like your Dad said.. You are family and you have my unconditional love.

Art, you were a awesome man and I love and will miss you

Well, Dad we had quite the send off today. You would of been real proud of the Family you and Mom raised. 150 friends and family came to celebrate YOU.
Relatives, Stuhrs,Kaher clan,Millbrae crowd, Performing Arts, Pennisula Social Club, Elks, and many of your Childrens dear friends.Diane orchestated the Mass/Music/Readings part with Father Tony per your request at St Simons. We had the reception (per your request) in the Spooncer Hall in the Church. Hayley, your grandaughter spoke very warmly of her grandpa, her "Hero". Steve also added what a great man you are, and how everyone who met you became your friend.WE assebled a small table on the alter with your handsome sailor picture and Wedding Picture. To also honor what a gentleman, and some one who always like getting dressed up to go anywhere: we had your bow tie, cufflings and black comberbon,Family Portrait (from Nathan and Nicoles weeding)and the Sweetheard pillow you sent to Mother when you were at War.Your grandchildren, Todd, Stacia, Nicole,Annie,Dustin, and Jack read the petitions during mass, with there individual requests. The same singer/piano man sang just as beautiful as he did for Moms service 6 years ago.We had just enough food, and drinks.Unexpectly the room was alittle crowded. We should of remembered, how you draw a crowd with you personality. We made an alter of some of your most precious items: World War II items, Elks memorabila, original hotel key from your honeymoon, Irish nutcracker, many old photos,CD's of Frank Sinara, Dean Martin etc..., (Diane) bottle of Brandy, Continental Baking Co service award, Square Dancing name tags, Mtn View ARt and Wine Festival glass, Your pray book from 1943,rosary and many other memories. Steve made a playlist of some of your favorite songs: Que SEra Sera, Sentimental Journey, and many love songs of yours and Mom days. Nicole and Diane made the Service brochure. WE also had handed out bookmarks, with another young handsome picture and the ST Francis Prayer. WE all tried to talk with everyone that came, just as you would have done. It was a very proud day to be part of your Murphy Family. I know I am going to miss your dearly. But I also know where you are, and am happy your with Mom watching over all of us. I love you Dad, more then you will ever know, as you had told all of us. Until we meet again, Love your daughter Vickie
