Arthur Henry Smith

Resident of San Bruno

Jan 11, 1925-Nov 23, 2010

Born and raised in SF (2nd gen) and 5th gen CA, has resided in San Bruno since 1956.

Survived by his devoted wife of 61 yrs Ruth (nee Hippely), sons Andrew and Clinton, all of San Bruno, daughter Leslie Jensen (SSF), sister Winifred Crockett (Las Vegas) and many adored nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father Clinton, mother Mary (nee Sebastian), and brothers John (Jack), Harold & Walter.

Attended Covina High School, then served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Orion as a Radar Man, RdM3c, during World War II from 1943-1946.

Employed by PG&E at the Hunter's Point Power Plant for 35yrs. Member of the SF Lodge #120 Free and Accepted Masons.

"Poppy" enjoyed gardening, cooking, was an avid Cal Bears and SF Giants fan (you finally got to see them win The World Series!!) and playing BINGO with "his girls".

Cremation was done and no services per his request.

Extended family will celebrate his life at later date.
