Charles Everett Obituary

Charles Everett, Jr.

Resident of Alviso

Died Jan. 3rd 2011, he was 87 years old. Charlie lived a good long life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He was very charismatic and had many talents. Born in Missouri, served as a marine in WWII and settled in Alviso for over 50 years. Charlie loved his family, with 9 children and to many grandchildren to count. Charlie was a carpenter by trade but could do any thing he set his mind to. He garnered local fame for his Totem pole carvings, Charlie was the outdoors man of outdoors men, he loved to troll lake Shasta on the house boat he built with his own hands, and entertain family with his quick wit and great big smile. He is now where he wanted most to be, resting peacefully with his wife Dorothy and smiling down on all his loved ones. Please join us to say farewell, services are at the Church of the Ascension 12033 Miller Ave., Saratoga at 1 pm.

Our Condolences go out to Our EXTENDED FAMILY!
Charlie has been my Grandmas Neighbor since they moved to Alviso in 1965. It is SAFE to SAY He was My GRANDMAS Friend. She kept to herself and wasn't very social except with her Family, But everytime She would see MRS.Everette and Charlie she'd Always Say Hi.

The Last thing that sticks in my mind about this Wonderful Person is this Christmas...
Christmas Eve his daughter Wanda came over and said.. "Hey U know My Dad is Waiting for His Tamales Right??!!" We had gotten so Busy we forgot to take him some. I felt So BAD! Cause I know that if he was able.. He would have come over to eat as he had done so many times before. So I made him a plate and took them to him. When I walked in that Door HIS EYES just LIT Up! He said "Where U been I been Waiting for U" I apoligized and warmed the 2 largest Tamales up for him. When Wanda got home she said His plate was completely empty.

Christmas Day my Mom and I got up Early and went next door for our Traditional X-Mas Morning Breakfast. Charlie was so Excited that His House was full of people for Christmas. The house was filled with Kids, Laughter, the Sounds of Wrapping paper, Smiles, Hugs, Kisses, but most of all...
Who we all consider "Family".

That Day HE SMILED So Big!
The Biggest That I had Seen In a Long Time! I'm So Grateful that I was Able to be there to Share that time with Him.

I'm Positive He is Now In Heaven With his Wife, and pretty sure He has That White Cloud in the Sky right Next to My Grandma And Grandpa, and they will remain Neighbors Forever!

He Will be Missed Greatly & Will Always Remain in Our Hearts!

So sorry to hear about his passing but we are glad he is with his beloved wife and our dearly missed Allen. Our whole family misses him every minute of every day. They are all smiling down on us together. We only wish we would have gotten to visit with Grandma & Grandpa a little more. They were so wonderful. Our hearts are with you.
