Loving Mother Dorothy D'Angelo (79) of San Jose, CA passed away at her home on Thursday October 28, 2009. Dorothy died peacefully after her long battle with cancer. She is survived by her son William Smith, daughters Joanne Shields (Mike) and Suzanne Ruiz (Ruben), and 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by daughter Dianne Rodrigues and son Roy Smith Jr. My mother had a slender, small body, but a large heart - a heart so large that everybody's joys found welcome in it.

Friends are invited to attend a Chapel Service Friday, November 5, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second St San Jose with Viewing beginning at 12:00 P.M. Private family interment at Italian Cemetery in Colma, CA.

Dorthy you will be truly missed. Not only were you a great family friend, but also a loving and caring neighbor. I will never forget growing up accross the street from you. My mom and dad send there deepest condolences to the family. I know that you are free of pain now and that God is taking good care of you in heaven. I know that you will always be looking down upon your family.

It is with our deepest sympathy we send our heart felt thoughts to your family. We will always remember your mom's smiling face and cheerful personality. Always so helpful during dance classes and recitals. Also remembering her selling Avon. But most of all being a wonderful friend and neighbor to my sister's family and to our family.

Mother N Law, I will miss you very much. You had a good heart and loved your family very much. There is nothing you wouldn't have done for them. You and I have been through so much, Yelling, Working, Worrying. You where so onery and I will miss every thing we did. Say hello to Tom, Roy, Diane, my Mom amd Dad for me. I'm sure you will have a great time when you see them. For ever in my heart.

Dorothy will be missed by her friends from the old Hank Lopez Senior Center. She enjoyed bingo, scrapbooking, and celebrating Italian Day. Her Halloween costumes were always great. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
