Douglas Lawrence McLeod (Bud), of Moraga, passed away Wednesday, October the 9th.
He was born in Calvin, North Dakota to the late John McLeod and May E. McCombs.
Douglas graduated from the U. of Washington with an engineering degree and received two Masters degrees, one from Stanford.
He was married to the late Dolores (DeFehr) McLeod for sixty loving years.
Douglas enlisted in the US Navy during WWII and served in the South Pacific and when released from active duty attained the rank of Lt.JG.
During the 1950's he worked as a Civil Engineer on several large projects including Ross Dam in Washington State. He and wife Dolores later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where Douglas worked for PG&E as the natural gas purchasing agent. Once retired he pursued a life long passion for managing and constructing various real state endeavors.
He was father of 9 and grandfather to 25. All of whom loved and respected him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette at 10:00 am and a memorial at the Moraga Hacienda at 12:00 Saturday October 19th.
