It has been almost sixty years since we last worked together, yet I remember him like it was yesterday. That is the kind of impression he made on me and, I'm sure, on many others. I always found working with Ed a joyful experience and, of course, a learning one.

I worked with Ed fpr a few years in Advanced Engineering at GE San Jose. I admired his wide ranging knowledge of nuclear technology and his ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. To work with him was always a learning experience. He made an indelible impression on me.

I remember Ed as an inspiring speaker and a challenging scientist. We were both at SRI for a short time before I joined the GE organization in San Jose. I kept in touch during the time that he was at EPRI. Joe Violette
