Elizabeth B. Stritzinger

Resident of Sacramento

Elizabeth Barbara Stritzinger known as Betty, age 102, of Sacramento, CA, passed into rest on November 23, 2010 at Cupertino Health and Wellness Center, Cupertino, California. She was born in Hillside, Pennsylvania to John and Elizabeth Kohut Marinshaw on January 12, 1908, the sixth of ten children. She grew up in Allison Park, Pennsylvania where she married Carl F. Stritzinger on July 23, 1924 and raised two children, Jean and Carl Stritzinger.

Betty studied and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1957. Later they moved to California and finally settled in the San Fernando Valley where she worked for many years at Victory Hospital. Betty loved painting, crafts and art work. She and her husband Carl also loved travel and they continuously bounced all around the United States finally retiring in Sacramento.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter and her nine siblings. Survivors include her son, Carl Stritzinger of Chiang Mai, Thailand and her Son-in-law, Sid Stetson of Madisonville, Tennessee. Grandchildren include; Steward Stetson, Barbara Porter, Richard Stetson, Jeff Stetson. Carl Stritzinger, and Linda Lybon; Cousins; Bernadette Fearing-Kelly, Bernie Straub Kelly and Patricia Rothmeyer; nieces and nephews include; Dorothy Linn, Eileen Winters, Emaline Davis, Francis Humphrey, Floretta Ann Miller, Jerry Wagner, Jack Marinshaw, Steve Marinshaw, Tom Marinshaw, Robert Marinshaw, Paul Marinshaw, Rick Marinshaw, Michael Marinshaw and Terry Marinshaw.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010 at St. Justin's Church, 2655 Homestead Road, Santa Clara, CA. Interment will be the following day at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.

Dear Carl, for some reason I have been thinking of you, wondering wbat happened to you so I did a search and discovered your mother. Last time we talked which was about a decade ago you were going to marry a young lady from the Phillippines and youn had talked about moving to Thailand.
