Ellen "Muffie" Meier

Resident of San Francisco

59, passed away on October 19, 2010. Muffie Meier was born on August 24, 1951 in San Francisco, CA to her deceased parents, Allen and Janis Meier, who both moved to San Francisco from Portland, Oregon.

Muffie Meier is a life-long resident of San Francisco, CA, and is survived by her siblings and their families: Her sister, Mary Meier Ryan, her brother-in-law Dan Ryan, and her beloved nephew, Allen Ryan. Her sister, Lynn Meier Novelli, her brother-in-law Michael Novelli, and her nephew Alex Novelli

In addition to her sisters, Muffie leaves behind a world filled with friends and family who grieve the loss of an irreplaceable friend. Muffie's life will forever be defined by her fierce loyalty to the ones that she loved, her incredible professional wisdom and the pivotal role she played as an advisor to politicians and political efforts at every level of government, a tireless desire to help those in need, a true appreciation of the "finer things in life", a profound capacity for friendship, and most importantly by her love for her nephew, Allen Ryan.

Muffie's accomplishments and contributions are too numerous to list. She lived with an intuitive personal and professional devotion to her community, and was known for her relentless and selfless commitment to the Zen Hospice Project where she served as Co-President of the Board of Directors. She was a past member of the Concordia Club of San Francisco, and a member of the Congregation Emanu-El, and a renowned Political Consultant.

A memorial service has been scheduled for Friday, October 22, 2010, 11:00 AM, Temple Emanu-El, 2 Lake Street in San Francisco, CA.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Muffie Meier's name to the Zen Hospice Project www.zenhospice.org.
