Frances E. Lee Resident of San Jose Frances Lee died November 5, 2012 at the age of 92. Frances was born and raised on a farm in Lancaster County, Nebraska. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska. She was a dietician by training and managed the University food service at Fort Hays State College in Kansas and was a clinical dietician at the University of Chicago's Lying-In Hospital. She married her husband, Lawrence B Lee in 1949 and moved out to San Jose, California with her husband and son in 1956. Frances was an active participant in downtown San Jose activities for over 50 years. She was actively involved and committed to community service programs, San Jose State University activities as part of the faculty family and as an active participate in carrying out the mission of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son Thomas, daughter -in -law Katherine and granddaughter Lauren Lee of Singapore, niece, Carolyn Lipscomb of Atlanta GA, nephew, Philip Egger of San Diego, CA and cousin, Jud Swan of Walnut Creek, CA . Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 566 North Fifth Street, San Jose at 1 PM. A reception will follow the service. The Wesley parking lot is adjacent to the church and is accessed by a 6th Street entrance.
