Frances Petrilla Obituary

Frances (Fanny Skedel) Petrilla

Resident of Sunnyvale

Jan. 5, 1916 - Sept. 19, 2010 Passed away at her Sunnyvale residence. Born in Raccoon, PA she moved as a young child to Herrick, OH where she met her future husband, Steve Petrilla, married, moved to Adena, OH and raised their family moving to Sunnyvale, CA in 1983. Frances was without pretension. Her friends and family will miss her kind, generous and uncomplaining spirit, good humor, sense of fairness, and willingness to give others a hand and second chance.

She will be missed by sons Steve (Pat) Petrilla, Irvine, CA, Lou Petrilla, Sunnyvale, CA, and John Petrilla, Palo Alto, CA, daughter-in-laws, Kathy and Betty, grandchildren Christine, Teresa, Stephenie, Andy, John, Caitlin and Nick, and great-grandchildren Patrick, David and Abigail. She was preceded by her husband of 70 yrs, Steve, parents Frank and Mary (Kren) Skedel, sister Mary Nemeth and brothers Matt, John and Martin Skedel.

Friends are invited to attend a Visitation Friday, Sept 24, 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Vigil at 7:00, at LIMA & CAMPAGNA Sunnyvale Mortuary, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave., Sunnyvale. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 25, 10:00 AM at St. Martins, 590 Central Ave., Sunnyvale. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
