Harry Sturgeon Obituary
Resident of Naramata, BC
79, died Sept 9, 2010 in Penticton, BC, Canada. He was born in Palo Alto, CA on February 17, 1931, to Harry & Frances Sturgeon. He graduated from Palo Alto H.S., received a BA from Stanford and an MA in Counseling from California State University Hayward. He worked as a school psychologist for Fresno Cty Schools and his wife's private clinic. Harry was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Suzanne Isotalo and Janet Sturgeon. He is survived by his wife Mary, sister Elizabeth McManis and three children, Alex Sturgeon, Carol Ellsworth, & Katherine Sturgeon.

I knew Harry when he lived in Fresno some 35 years ago. We both worked for the same school district (he was the veteran, it was my first job). He was a wonderful role model to me as a new school psychologist and I will never forget him. He was funny, honest, fair, compassionate, considerate and thoughtful. He was a good man and a good friend. And he was loved.
