Hedda Talmadge Obituary
Hedda C. Talmadge
Resident of Sunnyvale
Born February 24, 1942 in El Salvador and then moved to the Potrero Hill neighborhood in San Francisco with her family at the age of three. She entered into rest surrounded by her loved ones on September 23, 2010. Cherished and much loved mother of Michelle Petruzzelli of Cameron Park, CA Joseph S. Talmadge Jr. of Larkspur, CA, Douglas Talmadge of Concord, CA and Bert (Matthew) Talmadge of Benicia, CA. Loving sister of Dina West of El Dorado Hills, CA and Rose Toruno of Petaluma, CA. Beloved daughter of departed parents Humberto & Fidelia Toruno. Adored by her fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren and missed sadly by her doggies which she called her boy's "Gizmo & Shadow". Hedda touched many lives both on a personal and business level. She was an accomplished Insurance Broker, earning her CPCU designation and going on to found her own highly successful Insurance Brokerage firm, Talmadge and Associates in 1995, specializing in the computer, electronics, and information technology industries. Her legacy continues as highly regarded and respected within her industry.
Her desire to excel and compete was not limited to business endeavors.
In her earlier years she trained, competed and completed several marathons, was a charter member of the Decathlon Club in San Jose where she would eagerly take you up on a spirited game of racquet ball.
Her favorite pastimes were being with family and friends, traveling, attending sporting events (she was an avid 49er fan as well as a charter season ticket holder to the San Jose Sharks).
She lived her life passionately and on her own terms. She was taken from us far too soon. She will be missed dearly.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Avenue, Sunnyvale, (408) 736-1315. Memorial Mass to be held Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM. at Church of the Resurrection, 725 Cascade Drive, Sunnyvale.

I was just informed yesterday by my friend Art about these terrible news that have truly saddened me very much. I will alway remember Hedda for being very humble, friendly and sociable person. Helpful and kind-hearted, such an amazing friend that I will always be thankful to God for granting me the opportunity in meeting an amazing persona. The very last time I saw and spoke to her was when she had her hair don by Art and we where talking about my trip to Spain and then I decided to change the conversation because I'm not well with goodbyes. So we started to sing music in spanish because we both liked oldies and I remember she was somewhat shocked the first time she herd me sing and from there on we always talked about music. She also gave me more strengths and to believe in my dreams and never give up in life because with hart work we will always accomplish everything we dream of. I fined my self away from family and friends in a different country this moment in life but I am working hard to be that famous philanthropist we talked about. I have a dream and you Hedda have encouraged me to believe that it will happened. I will always be thankful Hedda and will always have you in my heart.
Talmadge family can you please send me an email of her burial information so I can visit her when I'm back visiting in the states, I will greatly appreciated.

Dear Heddy, I will truely miss you. Everytime I think of our lunches together, it brings a smile to my face. You were my frient,my mentor and will always have a special place in my heart. My deepest sympathies to the family. Hedda was a very grand lady that I enjoyed very much. I did her hair for a few years and she always had a smile for me and great stories about her family, her daily life, and her 2 dogs that meant so very much to her. To the toruno family i send my respects. Hedda and I were friends from the neighborhood. We went to Saint Teresas School together. Also Presentation in our freshman year. Hedda was a true professional and good friend. Her infectious laugh and cheery disposition brightened every meeting. She taught me so much about insurance and was a loyal business partner since we first met in 1980. She will be sorely missed.
