May Honofre Mendoza sing with the angels for all eternity! I have said a prayer for him and his family each time I see the entry, with today the final. May the God Lord keep his spirit alive in all who knew and loved him. Take a moment to remember the traits about him you most cherish and admire and develop that admirable quality more deeply in yourselves to let his impact live on through you. God Bless!

Although we didn't know him, our family has been very saddened by the tragic death of Honofre Mendoza. He was the brother of our babysitter's neighbor and had apparently just finished having breakfast at McDonald's when he was killed crossing El Camino. Whether he was in a crosswalk or not, El Camino is very dangerous and it could have been any of us. Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we pray that he has found some peace and dignity in Heaven.

God bless you Honofre. I always worry about the pedestrians and cyclists that battle their way on El Camino each day. As a driver, I have to pay very close attention, and it's not easy with the morning glare, or anytime! May you find peace and serenity in your soul, rest in peace.
