Resident of San Mateo
Sept. 5, 1926 - Nov. 28, 2010
Irene Hamblin, 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Los Angeles and resided in San Mateo for 55 years. She is survived by her sons Richard (Susan) and Donald (Kate) and her sister's Margaret, Gloria, Sally, and brother Rodney. She is also the beloved grandmother to Kristen and Bradley Hamblin.
She was employed for 30 years by the Safeco Insurance Co. She will be remembered for her warmth and kindness. Everyone that knew her, loved her.
Friends may visit from 6 - 8 p.m. and to attend a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo 94402. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Friday, December 3, 2010 at St Timothy's Catholic Church, 1515 Dolan Ave, San Mateo 94401. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Samaritan House in San Mateo. SNEIDER & SULLIVAN &

Dear Dick,Don,Susan,Kate,Kristen and Bradley- We are so,so sorry to learn of Irene`s passing and especially sad that we are not there with you today. We just learned of her passing from an email we received this morning from our old friend who`s mom was Irene`s neighbor and close friend. Being three hours away did not give us time to get there. We will be in touch,meanwhile please accept our deepest condolences. Love,Wes and Ginna
