James Thompson Obituary

James Michael Thompson

Resident of Gilroy

Jan. 27, 1968-Oct. 10, 2010

James, a native of San Jose, was taken from us suddenly in a vehicle accident early Sunday morning, October 10th. Priding himself in balancing the needs of family & excelling in his career was his passion. He was an accomplished, talented high school and collegiate athlete.

James is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 19 years, Jennifer Lee Thompson and his two loving children, Connor James (CJ) and Tea' Lee. James, beloved son of Michael and Donna Thompson of San Jose, adored brother of Jill Whitney of Portola, and William Thompson of San Jose, will be greatly missed by family, extended family and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, October 16 at 10:30 at Church on the Hill, 500 Sands Dr. SJ. 95125.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a trust created for the Thompson Children can be made in Jim's memory. For further details regarding donations call 408-998-7300

JP, CJ, and Tea-

First of all I just want you to know how much The Kraus' love and care for each one of you. You are considered part of our family and we will always be here for you.

Each one of us has warm and loving memories of Jim (aka: Jimbo). As I reflect on his life I am amazed at how many people were touched by his kindness, his humor, his love, his generosity, and his fondness for his loving wife and children. He will forever be remembered with a smile by all of us.

Jim will always live on through each one of you. Every time I see CJ laugh or joke I remember Jim. Every time I see Tea's sweet and carefree spirit I remember Jim. Every time I see Jenn reach out to others in need (even when her own pain is so present) I remember what a true friend Jim was to those he loved. Jim will live on in our hearts by our own personal memories and through his precious family.

Most people will never experience that kind of unconditional love that Jim showered on each one of you. You were truly blessed. He was a remarkable husband, father, son, and friend.

We love you Jimbo and you will never forget your dashing smile!

With all my heart,

Tracy

Death leaves a void that cannot be filled. No one can ever take the place of you in this world. Things will never be the same. You have touched so many lives by being you.

Q: Could we contain your laughter in a single pot?
A: As easily as we could boil the ocean in a single pot.

Q: How many people have you touched with your infectious smile?
A: Equivalent to the number of stars in the sky.

Q: How deep does your love for your family run?
A: If there was a creator from California to China it wouldn't compare.

Q: How much are you missed by everyone that loves you?
A: Is it possible to count the grains of sand on all the beaches.

Dear Thompson Family,

We express our deepest condolences to you.

It is true that "if you train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old, he will not depart from it".

We knew him through the formative years (K-12); and, reading all these wonderful entries, we see he never changed. He was a wonderful, caring, active child and he stayed the same.

During this extremely difficult time, we pray that our Heavenly Father continues to surround you with His loving arms and sustain you. May HE give you the peace that surpasses all understanding and comfort as well.

You are in our prayers.
