Janet P. Roberts

Resident of Hollister

Jan. 4, 1928-Sept. 27, 2010

Devout Catholic of Lebanese origin and long time resident of Hollister, California, born in Michigan and survived by brother James Peters, predeceased by Sheffia Thomas, Nabeeha Edwards , Michael Peters, Nappe Peters, , Ralph Peters, Kathryn Studnicka, Louis Peters and Louise Peters , and survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Janet Roberts received higher education degrees from the University of Detroit and the University of Michigan, travelled the world as a scholar and educator, moved to San Jose, California and finally settled in Hollister, California where she continued to prosper in farming and real estate.

Janet left behind a legacy of generosity and charity to society and community.

Visitation will be at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister on Sunday, October 3rd, from noon to 7 P.M. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Sunday afternoon at 5 P.M. at the funeral home. Family and friends may gather at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1200 Fairview Rd., Hollister on Monday morning from 9:30 A.M. to attend the funeral Mass commencing at 10 A.M. Graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1100 Hillcrest Rd., Hollister.

Contributions are preferred to the Northern California Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation (Monterey site) or in care of the funeral home.
