Dear Gary
,With deepest sympathy I am writing you this note. I am lost for words
as I came across the news that your dear mother passed away last Sept. She was most loving and gracious to be my maid of honor when we got married in 1958. We met at UCSB. I have tried to contact her with no result. Our daughter,Amy, got me on facebook just this
past Tues. I cannot find your address (in Sacramento area). I'll appreciate if you'll drop me a few lines ([email protected]) or
415.994.0258 cell phone. My love to you and your family. with love and sympathy, Josephine

Ron -
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing and will keep you and
your family in my prayers. Since I now live in Illinois - I cannot attend the gathering in her honor - but will be there in thought. She was such a kind and lovely lady - I enjoyed knowing her at WGUMC.

Where do we go on the 9th of October to pay our respects? I taught school with Jan and I really enjoyed the friendship we shared the 12 years I was there. I was really shocked and saddened by the news of Jan's passing when I read the Mercury today. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. I hope to make contact with you on the 9th. Fondly Martha Olson, former Willow Glen High School Social Studies teacher.

Through the years I thought of Mrs. Wilbanks often. I always intended on looking her up and express my appreciation to her for being such an outstanding teacher back in Willow Glen (1979-1980). I enjoyed her tremendously. She was one of my all-time favorites. I think I got along with her so well because my maternal grandfather, Joseph Springer, took the young Janice under his protective wing at Fresno State where he taught as a U.S. History professor. She remembered that kindness years later and expressed it to me often. She was a good, thought-provoking, devoted teacher and will be missed. My condolences to her family. Todd Becker, San Jose, CA.

Your family is being held in prayer by the Willow Glen United Methodist Church faith community. I was blessed to be part of Jan's Walk to Emmaus Reunion Group. Thank you for sharing Jan with us!

Many years ago, I had Mrs. Wilbanks as an English class instructor at Willow Glen High School. I'm sorry to read of her recently passing away. I send my condolences to her family.
