I first met John in 1949 at Santa Cruz High School and considered him as a good friend since that time. We kept in close touch despite often living and working in separate areas both worldwide and domestically. He was a good friend with a rare sense of "being" and flexibility. John worked and lived purposely and understood the importance of distinguishing right from wrong in this world. His unique sense of dry humor allowed him to roll with the punches as well as to charm his interlocutors. He enjoyed close ties to his family and friends. May we all long treasure our memories of John and honor him for his accomplishments.

To the Ash family, sorry for your loss, may GOD give you his LOVE, PEACE, and STRENGTH in this time of sorrow. He is with GOD now and he will never feel pain again because he has a new body that will never feel any kind of pain, he is moving into his new home, he is seeing what we can't even imagine how HEAVEN looks like. And he is seeing JESUS he is touching and laughing and hugging him and thanking him for all the gifts he has given him in his life on earth. GOD will give him jobs to do on earth and i'm sure he will check in on you from time to time and you will feel his presence, and some day you will see him again. He is RESTING IN PEACE with GOD and that's the best person we can rest with.<3
