John Summers Obituary
Resident of Los Altos
Entered into rest in Sunnyvale on November 13 2010 at the age of 86. He was born in California in 1924 and spent most of his youth in Santa Cruz during the depression and graduated from Santa Cruz High School before serving in the 42nd Rainbow division in WW2 in Europe serving as a radio operator. John went to many of the army reunions through the years. He attended San Jose State and Stanford Universities and earned his degree in electrical engineering.
John married in 1956 and settled in Los Altos where he raised his family while working in the electronics industry in the early days of silicon valley.
John enjoyed traveling, classical music, gardening and skiing once a member of the Palo Alto ski club.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anne Summers and is survived by his 3 sons: John, David (Tami) and Paul.
Private services will be held by the family.
