My Dear Sweet Friend, Kaye,
It's so hard to believe that ten years have passed since I sang at your funeral. I miss your friendship and laughter. We made some great music over the decades, didn't we? I look forward to that time when we can again. You will always be a part of me.

I just found out about Kaye's passing and just wanted to say that she was a wonderful childhood friend. We would ride her tandem bike all over the neighborhood together, play on the swingset in her back yard and just had great fun! I have wonderful memories of Kaye growing up together in Willow Glen. I will miss you but forever hold my fun memories of you. Love Lori

I remember helping Kaye with a science project and some other things when she was in grade school and I was in early high school. We went to church together at Willow Glen Baptist. My dad wS on staff there. I remember wishing I were her older sister. I really liked her very much and enjoyed those times. I am sorry to hear she has left this life. Bethany Endsley Ray Lane

Kaye was a genuinely nice person. I was one of her high school friends and one of the choir people. Some of the funniest things I remember about Kaye were her interactions with Mrs. Di'Bari. If she made a rare boo-boo at the piano, she would just smile and giggle, as if to say, "Did I do that?" Oddly enough, I remember one day people were "pinky wrestling" with our little fingers. I don't remember why, but I do remember pinky wrestling with Kaye, and she nearly ripped my finger off, since her little finger was so strong from piano playing.
When I started with the choir in High School, I wasn't a Christian. But, Kaye and others in the choir were instrumental in changing my life, and I have been a Christian for 37 years.
You lived a good life, Kaye. Thank you for making a difference in my life. I hope to see you again one day in Heaven and remember old times.

The Dutch have a saying; make many friends when you are young. Now I understand why, but you were the last person I could think of to drive the point home. I am happy to know that we were friends. Somehow you knew that even though I am physically far away, that you are always in my thoughts, that I would alert all those that have known and loved you these last almost 40 years since we met, and that they would try to be with you during your struggle.
Now I have to say goodbye, and I really don't know how. This was not meant to be. It should have been the other way around 40 – 50 years from now. Living where I live in the world teaches a person the harshness of life's reality, and the need to raise your head, wipe away the tears and somehow find the strength and courage to carry on.
So now I can only save and savior those memories of us growing up together, good food, good movies, good music, good laughs and most of all - good times. It seems that G-d wants the good ones close to him, and that is the only reason that I can think of that He has taken you away from us.
So the time has come to raise my head, wipe away the tears and somehow find the strength and courage to carry on.
May G-d bless you and keep you.
May G-d's light shine upon you and be gracious unto you.
May you feel G-d's presence within you always, and may you find peace.
This is the Priestly Benediction, and we say it twice on the Sabbath and Holy Days. I hope that you find comfort in its words. I will try to find comfort in my memories, and wish with all my heart that you have found peace.
Your friend, always,
~David Levine

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Kaye's passing last week. We were both part of the same music/drama group at Markham and Willow Glen High - and shared many, many friends. I feel so lucky to have been able to spend some time with her a few weeks ago when some of the group got together at a local restaurant for the evening. My deep condolences and prayers go out to her dear family for this tragic loss.

I was so shocked to hear of Kaye's passing. She had a great heart and always was so sweet. I went to kindergarten with her and then we met again in high school. Our paths crossed later in life many times at Barbara's office and she was just a lovely person. I will miss her smiles and warm greetings. My prayers and condolences are with her dear family and friends at this time. - Love, Janice Mazzurco-Jorgenson
