Obituary Condolences

Lloyd E. Martin
Oct. 17, 1931 - Oct. 16, 2013
Resident of San Martin
Encircled by his family, Lloyd E. Martin of San Martin, CA passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2013 in San Jose. Born on October 17, 1931 in Bartlesville OK, he became a resident of San Martin in 1965 where he established his family home with his wife Inez and their four children.
His family grew and anyone who spent time with him soon knew that his family was his greatest treasure. He was a grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 14.
Lloyd was an electrical contractor and established South County Electric in the early 1970's. In later years he developed and managed light-industrial properties in Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Jose. Along with his wife Inez, he established the Ioan Foundation, through which they helped many local people in need as well as the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
He had a wide array of interests but was known especially for his cherry orchard and garden, which he opened to family, friends and members of his church congregation. He was a committed Christian and attended Cathedral of Faith Church in San Jose.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, his three daughters (Janice Adams of Morgan Hill; Sandy Moreno of San Martin and Karen Blair of Morgan Hill) and his son Earl Martin, also of San Martin. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren all live locally and were a constant source of joy in his life.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 11:00 am at Cathedral of Faith; 2315 Canoas Garden Avenue in San Jose.
