All though it's been a year Compa...I still have you close in my heart. It's hard to forget the wonderful times we spent together cruising the Blvd. and dropping by just to hang out. I thank you for the loyalty between good friends. I miss you!

You are so loved....and missed.

Mariano you were a good man when I met you I was a young teenager you took me into your family as if I was a daughter, I remember the laughing, the parties, the coffee, talking about the cars, enjoying the music, sitting watching TV, the trinkets, the talks and advice, the quinceneira, the weddings, oh yea the washing of dishes but most of all was when I was pregnant you went out in the late evening to find me a cantalope but couldn't find one so you came back with cheapie burgers, all because of my craving.

What I am mostly greatful for is you keeping David busy and healthier when he needed it most when he was forced into medical retirement.

Once again you are a good man and will be greatly missed but now you can be Dad from afar and look over all of us.

Nene & Lucy I thank you for sharing your Dad with me and most of all for being like a Brother and Sister to me over the years. I love you and your families and pray that you will have an easy transition of letting your Dad go to Heaven where he will watch over you. What I found that helped me was remembering the memories we created and that my Mom and Dad didn't want me dwealing on the sadness but to remember the love of life they had.

Rest In Peace

My husband, Michael and I (Mirria) met Mariano back in 1987. Mariano became a great and funny friend. Being military we had to transfer to other states but we stayed in touch with Mariano a couple times a year. When we came into town we would try to stop and see him and Frankie, too. He made us laugh. He just seemed like an old soul. As we all know, he loved his music and his cars (in addition to family). Speaking of cars, I'd like to share a funny story. Michael had a 197_ primed gray Firebird. We knew that Mariano loved his bargain deals/items. We were set to move to Wa. state and Michael actually traded his Firebird for a old gold pocketwatch Mariano had. YES, a pocketwatch. We were able to restore the watch and it dates to 1905. Michael loves that watch.(smiling) Still works. I know the Firebird sat in his backyard for years (could still be there -lol-).

We love him and we will miss him always.
I have attached a pic to share.

May Mariano Jr. and family have peace come to them with time and know that Mariano Sr. has his music playing and he is cruzin' the heavens... :):)
God Bless.

Love, Mirria and Michael Gonzalez

My condolence and prayers are with the Alvarado family in your time of sorrow. Just remember he is in a better place, free of pain and in the presence of the Lord. Hold the wonderful memories of him close to your heart; they can never be taken away... God’s word tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord” ……
