Marie L. Philip

Long time resident of

San Carlos

Died peacefully on Dec. 25, at the Philomath, Oregon home of her daughter and son-in-law, Nan and Don Tonkin.

Marie was born on November 24, 1920 in Redwood City, California to Charles F. And Frances H. Anderson. On June 1, 1940 Marie married John H. Philip and together they moved to San Carlos to begin their lives together. Marie's greatest joy in life was her family and we will all remember her for her love and generosity.

Marie was preceeded in death by her husband John, her sister, Caroline Luscher and her brother, Charles Anderson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nan and Don Tonkin of Philomath Oregon, her son and daughter in law Stan and Kaz Philip of Winters, Calif, granddaughters Sara Hoyt of Philomath OR and Rebecca Tonkin of Eugene OR, great grandson Raymond Hoyt of Philomath OR, nieces Jeanne Chisum (Neil) of San Carlos CA, Merilee Anderson of Georgetown, CA, Sandra (Vern) Robinson of Hayward CA, Susan (Richard) Valente of LaPine, OR, and nephews Clifford (Judy) Luscher of Union City CA, James Philip of Danville CA, Gary Philip (Sandy) of La Pine OR, several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews and many friends.

At Marie's request there will be no service. At a later date a tree will be planted in her memory.

Memorial contributions can be sent to Benton Hospice Service, 2350 NW Professional Dr, Corvallis OR 97330 or to Talking Book and Braille Service, 250 Winter St. NE, Salem, OR 97301.

DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
