Oct. 20, 1917-Sept. 17, 2010

Martha passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 17, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by 7 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Martha was born in Arizona and worked hard from a young age. She worked during WWII in the Richmond shipyards doing welding on the Liberty ships.

She was a Loving Wife to Andrew Chavez and Mother to her 7 children. She loved singing, dancing, and cooking for family and friends. She always loved spending as much time as she could with her adoring grandchildren. Martha was a generous woman and always welcomed everyone to her home. Her devotion to her Catholic faith was an inspiration to all that knew her.

A Rosary will be held on Thurs. Sept. 23, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, 96 W. El Camino Real, Mtn. View, CA. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Fri. Sept. 24, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mtn. View. Inurnment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mtn. View.

My wife Gloria and Myself are trying our best to accept the loss of my mother & also my father one day at a time. I speak from the heart were both my parents are concerned that love is unconditional and there is no other kind, it's not some thing you do half way or when the mood suits you it's a labor of love good n bad happy or sad.
