Martin Feldman Obituary
September 12, 1922 - December 5, 2015
Resident of Los Gatos
Marty passed away on December 5th, 2015 at his home in Los Gatos, CA with his wife Nell and his family by his side. He was born in Los Angeles, CA to Doris and Jacob Feldman.
In 1941 Marty attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship. He was a Marine Corp Reservist and was called to active duty at the start of World War II. He was with the 22nd Marine Division and saw combat on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, and Eniwetok and other notable battles in the South Pacific earning him two purple hearts.
After the war he attended and graduated from Stanford University where he played football and rugby and was subsequently named to the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame for rugby. He was a football coach at Stanford as well as the second head coach for the Oakland Raiders.
Marty was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a proud Marine. Respected and loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Nell, sons Scott (Judy), Lance (Wendy), daughter Keri (Roger), grandchildren Aaron, Hannah, Max, Avi, Rachel, Bailey and Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Marty's favorite charity, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

Mrs. Feldman, Scott, Lance, Keri. I just found out, tonight of Marty's passing. I wish I had gotten down to Los Gatos to see him. I respected him more then any person on earth, he was my friend. My heart with with you. I will try in the morning to contact you

To Nell and family- Marty was such a dear friend of my parents and to me as well. He hired me at Mel Cottons so long ago and I would see him from time to time with my dad. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and I wish you all strength at this difficult time.
