Dear Karen and Laureen, Your Mom and Dad were extremely proud of both of you. They often spoke to me of the "sheer wonder of watching you grow up" during your childhood years, particularly in Kinshasa. As Chief Translator, I collaborated with both of your parents for over six years. Your Mom assisted in the Translation Department where I first met her in 1974 and your Dad was Manager of Logistics into the 1980s until he sadly passed away. They were loving, devoted and conscientious parents, and always cheerful, hard-working, valuable and competent professionals at the office. Such fabulous memories of those days! I am deeply saddened to learn, belatedly via the internet, of your Mom's passing. Most sincerely, Art Madsen

My dear Karen and Laureen - I am so sorry for your loss. Sorrier still that I never got to meet either of your parents. I went looking for you on facebook and found the obituary for your mum. Please accept my belated but none-the-less sincere condolences. Groses bises - Cheryl (your long, lost, Aussie mate who still cherishes memories of our happy days together at uni.) I will always love you.
