Mildred Jo Hanstein
Jan. 26, 1931 - Jan. 8, 2011
Resident of San Jose
Born to Laura Rogers and Ines Tafolla, in San Angelo, Texas. Gradated San Jose State with a Teaching Credential in 1957, she taught for 27 years and in 1996 received the Bilingual Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution while with the Alum Rock School District. She is survived by her devoted sister Charlyn Gaeta of Victorville, CA, her loving children, Lori Ann Ortiz, John E. Hanstein Jr. and James E. Hanstein, all of San Jose, and much loved Grandsons Anthony Phillips and Shane Hanstein. Along with many Nephews, Nieces, and a large extend family. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, when the Memorial Service will be held on Jan. 13th at 10:00. Coffee reception after. There will be a small graveside for the family later. There will be a viewing at Oak Hill, Wednesday, room G, from 4 to 8. In lieu of flower please send donations to Kingdom Kids, Cornerstone Community Church, 5655 Gallup Dr., San Jose, CA 95118.

I'm so very sorry that Mildred passed away. I didn't realize it at the time.
I will always remember her as a wonderful lady and a great neighbor.
