dearest Susie,
i am so dearly sorry to have just read about "mom's" parting here online today. she was an absolutely wonderful person whom you know i truly loved and will miss.i was that missing daughter she wished she always had (the one that was the black sheep of the family ha ha ) i have thought of her, you and your family often. my heart hurts and is full of saddness that i unfortunately due to circumstances did not know of her passing until today. i certainly would of expressed my sorrow and love much sooner.she has always held a special place in my heart as you have and still do. with all the love i can possibly send. Loving, Kabeanie

I read your mother's obituary in the San Jose Mercury. I am sorry for your loss, and if she is the mom I remember, she was very kind and patient with the neighborhood kids in Johnstown, PA back in the 50's. I remember Bobby and Susan - I attended school with Bobby at Tioga St. School. I lived on another block, Indiana Street; but I always have nice memories of the neighborhood as a good place to grow up, with many kind adults to look after us, including your mother. Of course, if I have a different Strayer family, please excuse my error; but the names, dates, and places did seem to fit. Sincerely, Karen (Shannon) Hall ([email protected] )
