Nancy Elizabeth Filmer

Resident of Rio Vista, CA

Born May 18, 1936 in Chicago, IL, Nancy passed away from brain cancer at the age of 74 in her home in Rio Vista, CA on Nov 5, 2010. Nancy grew up in Honolulu and came to San Francisco in 1961. She was President of the CA Medical Assistants Santa Clara County Chapter in 1982 and an office manager for several private doctors over the years. She is preceded in death by her son, David Vollrath, and her brother Peter Skorpen. She is survived by daughter & son-in-law Ann Filmer & Barry Bennett of Chicago, IL; daughter & son-in-law Marea & Robert Ruiz of Sacramento; three grandchildren Hannah Bennett, Alec Ruiz, Camille Ruiz; and significant other Andrew Chesanek. A public memorial will be held in Rio Vista on 11/20 and the scattering of her ashes will take place in March 2011.
