Patrick Edward Mormon

Resident of Las Vegas

Love, laughter and tears for 81 years, Patrick Edward Mormon was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Sept. 30, 1929, and joined family and friends Oct. 1, 2010. Patrick loved people, jewelry and entertaining as a master chef and antique dealer/collector. He owned Victorian House Antiques and Garden Restaurant, later known as Pasquales Restaurant on First St., in downtown San Jose, Calif., the "in place" for 30 years until he retired to Las Vegas, where he previously lived in the 50's and 60's - "The Vegas Years." He served his country in the U.S. Navy in the 1950's as a yeoman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two brothers. He is survived by sisters, Dee Mormon and Constantine Solazzo; niece, Victoria Cloutier of Las Vegas; devoted friends, Mary Sousa of San Leandro, Calif., and Paula Tihista of Las Vegas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and many, many friends, including the love of his life, his Poodle, Nicholas.

His last party will be Thursday, Oct. 7, with viewing from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and service following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Interment will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice and Golden Rainbow organization.

There will never be another Patrick. What a unique person. I know he is at peace. What a life, what a ride. I know he would tell us..., that if he had to do it all over again, he would still do it "his way". Oh how my heart hurts for him.
