Raymond Leon, Jr.
Resident of San Jose
Raymond Leon, Jr. was born on February 17, 1943. He was the youngest child of Raymond Sr. and Lena Barbara Leon's three children. Ray Jr. entered into rest this past Sunday, October 6th on the day of both his late father's birthday and his grandson Christopher's 3rd birthday. Ray had a huge heart and was dedicated to his family and endless list of friends. Ray Jr. has 3 children, Benjamin, Jacqueline and Nicholas, in addition to 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Savannah. Ray is survived by his two sisters Ramona Leon and Hazel MacLachlan, in addition to his 5 MacLachlan nieces and nephews.
Ray Jr. graduated from Del Mar High School in 1961 but remained a steadfast feature in the Santa Clara Valley the majority of his life. He loved participating in the class reunions and celebrations which centered around St. Joseph's, Campbell Junior High, and Del Mar. Ray Jr. took over San Jose Potato & Onion Distributors back in the mid 1970's after Ray Sr. dutifully handed over the family business. More recently, Ray lived in Lodi and was a permanent fixture on the golf courses of Lockeford Springs and Micke Grove. A genuine lover of golf, travel, coffee with the Boys, Beefeaters gin, and in the past few years good Kentucky bourbon and fine cigars. Ray will be missed by the many whose lives he touched, and the memory of living each and every day to the fullest. Although we will miss his many phone calls, screams and demands, he will never be forgotten in our hearts. We love you!
