I remember the first time I turned on our street to move in. I was about 5 years old and the first person I saw was Roshan and he waved to me with the huge amazing smile he had and we have become friends ever since. Me Colin and Roshan always fought/joked about whose street it really was. I would say it's my street then Colin and Roshan would both say no it's my street. Roshan it's your street bud. Love and miss you. Rest in Peace.

From Roshan's Parents
Dear Friends:
My Wife and I would like to express our appreciation for the overwhelming sympathy and love we received during this difficult time. You all have brought great comfort to the family.

In honoring that spirit, Roshan’s parents would like to encourage everyone to donate to “Bill Wilson Center”, which is committed to ensuring that every youth has access to services needed to grow to be healthy and self-sufficient adults. Please make contributions in lieu of sending flowers.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Rahbari,
We have never met, still my heart aches for you. This was such a senseless tragedy. My heart aches for your son because his life here on earth was cut so short. And my heart aches for all of the young people in his life who must go on trying to make sense of their grief and their enormous loss. I want you to know that there are people in our Almaden community who, although they do not know you, keep you their prayers and heart. Please know that my prayers for your comfort and healing will continue for a long time to come. I am deeply sorry that your son was taken from you so tragically. God bless and keep you close always. Dear Rahbari family,
I hope revisiting beautiful memories with Roshan and your love for him give you strength and courage to go through this painful time.
A poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)

Everything about this has been so surreal, I never thought I'd lose you like this. It's my biggest regret falling out of touch with you during the summer..I really did take our friendship for granted and that's what makes the loss harder to deal with. You always told me you could count on me but I feel like I really let you down and nothing can shake that feeling. You deserved none of this, you were always just looking to have a laugh and a good time and you always wanted everyone around you to have the same. When I see your name in my phone I can't believe that I can't call you anymore. Seems like just the other day we were kicking it in your car, chain-smoking cigarettes and philosophizing about life. Now I'm mourning the loss of a loved one taken from me. But I'll stay strong for you bro because you would do the same for me. I love you to death and I'll see you on the other side. You'll forever remain with me, Rest in Paradise Roshan.

Roshan was one of my closest friends and companions. I can't stop thinking about him; I still hear his voice and the sound of him laughing. He especially enjoyed and supported me in my music, more so than even my own family. Everyone Roshan has ever known has been deeply affected by this. The name Roshan in farci means "lit up," and if Roshan was anything it was that. You rarely saw him without a smile. I just don't understand how the universe could have allowed such a tragedy. Life will never be the same for us, the true friends of Roshan.
