Russell Wintle Obituary
Long time Los Gatos resident
Passed away Wednesday, October 20th at the age of 104. Russell was born on August 11, 1906 in Schenectady, New York. Russell is survived by his wife of 83 years Louise Diehsner Wintle also of Los Gatos.
Other survivors include Robert Wintle and his wife Wilma (Paradise, Ca); Donna Bailey and her husband Timothy (Grass Valley, Ca); Roger Wintle and his wife Tommye (Los Gatos, Ca) and his son-in-law Tom Floyd (Santa Cruz, Ca). He was preceded in death by his daughter Shirley Floyd (1980). Russell is survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and Russell is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his sisters-in-law, Freda Harrell (OR) and Theresa Tucker (MA).
Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church (16548 Ferris Ave) in Los Gatos, on Saturday October 30th, at ll:00 A.M.

Lou and family, I am so sorry to hear of Russ' passing. You were such good friends of my grandparents (The Fredericks), as well as my Mom & Dad (The Harpers). My love and prayers to all of you.

Dear Russ, we will never forget your sunny, pleasant personality that you brought to our exercise group. When the program closed down we so enjoyed seeing you and your dear wife at our monthly lunches. You are now among the angels. God bless you. Always.

Russel was, and will remain, an inspiration as to how to live a good life. We have shared with many of our friends how impressed we were that he was a hard working usher at church even when he reached his 104th birthday.
His sense of humor when interacting with Louise as well as the folks at church during coffee hour and at dinners was such fun to watch.
A true gentleman, and although he lived a long and fruitful life, it is hard to think of not having him on this earth with us.
Our love to you,Louise, and our prayers for your comforting knowledge that Russell is at peace with God and your daughter. You two had such a great life together, and may all those wonderful memories hold you in good stead now.

Russ Wintle was the dearest man I have ever known. He and Louise were such good friends with my parents. I was blessed for the time I spent with Russ and his wonderful wife Louise. God be with them and their wonderful family.
