Sharon A. Conner
Resident of San Jose
Sharon A. Conner passed away on June 11, 2013 at the age of 53. The time of her passing was symbolic. As a dedicated educator she waited until the last day of school to conclude her battle with breast cancer. Sharon is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary Conner, son David, and daughter Ashley. She is also survived by her parents Barbara and John Ciboci, father Alan Schweissinger, sisters Cathy West and Rebecca Reh, and brother Scott Schweissinger.
In addition to being a loving mother and wife, Sharon was a creative, devoted, and outstanding educator. She always put the children first. During her tenure in the Moreland School District, Sharon was able to reach students at all levels of the learning spectrum and make a lasting impact on their lives.
Sharon had a master's degree in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University and a bachelor's degree from Mary Washington College in Virginia.
Private services were held by her family to remember and honor her life. Many more celebrations of her life will be held throughout the coming months. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Stand Up To Cancer (www.standup2cancer.org) so that others may not have to experience a similar loss.
