Valeta Bacon Obituary

Valeta "Jane" Malosh Bacon

Resident of Los Altos

Died September 6, 2010. Valeta Jane Malosh was born April 28, 1921 in a small town in Wisconsin as the youngest of eight children. She grew up on a dairy farm. She moved to California at age 18. She met Karl Bacon. They were married for 67 years and had two children - Nancy and Susan. Jane is survived by her two daughters, by three grandchildren (Roger, Scott, and Nicole), and by two great-grandchildren (Evan and Nathan). Sharing her wisdom with her family was one of her greatest strengths. She always cared deeply for us.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was full of life, with unshakable optimism. Always eager to learn new things and see new places, she had great joy in living. She loved nature, especially her garden which she tended for 63 years. With her love of flowers she became a florist for 20 years. Her love for family and friends was reflected through her volunteer work for the Girl Scouts. She served as the vice president for the Santa Clara County Girl Scouts. She was a great friend to many. She gave us opportunity to become our best and loved every moment of it. We are forever grateful for her generosity and will always have a special place in our heart for her.
