I lived around the corner on Crystal Springs Road from Amherst in San Mateo. My Aunt Jane Stiene loved you all and I was sad to read of your Father's loss. It brought back memories of our childhood in San Mateo.I am Jane's niece and Becky and I were friends. I send you my regards and hope you all are doing okay at this sad time. Auntie loved your Mom and spoke of her and your father often.

Bill & Robert,
I want to express the feeling of loss of your Father. He was an engaging, smart, principled and friendly person to be in the presence of. Great to converse with. Along with your Mom, Jane, they were a wonderful couple. Blessings to you at this time on your Father's death.

Bill was truly one of the finest men to ever walk this earth. He was a dear friend and someone who will always hold a big space in my heart. I loved him very much.

Bill had an acute mind, a great sense of humor, and a lot of class. One of his most admirable qualities however, was his orientation to be of service to others. I remember when we were painting our house, he insisted on helping. We were a little uncomfortable allowing a man in his eighties take on such a job. He absolutely insisted on it, and did great work as well. He and Jane were wonderful role models to my children, who didn't have grandparents nearby. I always felt so utterly blessed to have them as friends and neighbors.

Coibion familiy, I am so sorry for your loss. Bill loved you all so very much and was incredibly proud of each and every one of you. It is comforting to know he is now reunited with Jane and in the presence of God. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Much Love,

Linda Bounds Short
