William "Bill" Reynold Stake

Resident of Los Gatos

May 27, 1932-Sept. 20, 2010

William "Bill" R. Stake born in 1932, Cambridge, Minnesota died Monday, September 20, 2010. For ten years he met the challenges of declining health and the thrice weekly dialysis treatments the past seven and a half years. As an aeronautical engineer he was hired by Lockheed Missiles and Space, Palo Alto, CA in 1960, retired in 1992.

He is survived by his wife, Marge; five children, Tim, David (Kathy), Dan, Karin and Peter; four grandchildren, Rachel, Kyle, Kelley and Katie; and his sister Barbara Hanson (Dudley). A devoted husband, caring/giving father and quiet but attentive grandfather.

Bill's hobbies and interests were family vacations at the lake in Minnesota, reading, woodworking, watching baseball and football on TV, travel near and far, jazz festivals and the Golden Age of Country Music.

Memorial services will be held at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 5100 Camden Ave. San Jose, 95124 October 9 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be given to St. Timothy's Lutheran Church; Second Harvest, 750 Curtner Ave. San Jose, 95125 or Hospice of the Valley, 4850 Union Ave., San Jose, CA 95124.
