William Werle

Resident of San Mateo

(Bugs) 89 years old, passed away on November 27, 2010, in San Mateo, CA, due to complications with Alzheimer's.

Born December 21, 1920 in Oakland, CA, son of the late Leslie and Emma Werle (deceased), sister Patricia LaFargue (Gene) (deceased).

He was a professional Baseball Player, for the San Francisco Seals, Boston Red Sox, Pittsburg, and Special Assignment Scout for Baltimore, Orioles, and Cleveland Indians.

Survived by his wife Eva of San Mateo, William Werle, Jr., (Michele), grandchildren, Philippe Werle (Marie) Guillaume Werle (Isabelle), and five great granchildren, nephew Craig LaFargue (Bobbi) Christopher LaFargue and Dave LaFargue. Stepdaughters, Jordana Roberts, (Sonny), Julie McMahon (Pete) and five grandchildren.

His cat Tenshi, and his dog Betty Cuca.

My greatest thanks go out to Anka Buljan Administrator of B and B Home Care, where he was living for the past 2 and a half years, to all the wonderful care givers: Ofie, Edwin, Ronnie, Bel and Julie who took care of him with love and devotion, and To Vitas Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Services Friday, December 3, 2010, 1:30 pm, at Lifemark Skylawn Memorial Park Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd. (650-349-4411).
