Aladina "Dina" Matteucci Myers
Peacefully passed away at the age of 76 on Saturday, May 5th surrounded by her loving children and beloved husband. Dina was a lung and breast cancer survivor and passed due to complications of lung disease.
A lifetime coastsider, Dina was born March 13, 1936 on her grandmother's farm, which is now the Half Moon Bay airport. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aladino and Lena Matteucci who were artichoke farmers both born in Italy and residents of Half Moon Bay from 1911 until the mid nineties, and her sister Evelyn Mason who passed in 2005.
Dina was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Aunt, Great Aunt, Cousin and friend to many. She was a longtime member of Coastside Lutheran Church where her life will be celebrated on Saturday May 12th at 1:00pm, reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to one of her favorite charities - Saint Anthony's Foundation, Coastside Adult Day Health Care Center, Cancer Foundation of America, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation, and Special Olympics.
She cherished her family and centered her life around each and every one of them. Her house was the main "hub" for all functions and she was known for her ability to feed an army on every occasion. She was a proud supporter of her kids and grandkids and a constant at every event; from school sports to graduations, weddings and birthdays.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Buzz" Myers, Sr.; her son Robert "Bob" Myers, Jr. and wife Sandy and their three daughters Rebecca, Sarah and Kyndra; her son Steven Myers and wife Susan and their children Shannon and Maxwell; and her daughter Lisa Molina and husband George and their children Allie and Greg. She loved her two great-grandchildren Sam and Olivia, and was excited that through Shannon and Kelly her new great-granddaughter is on the way.
