Henry Lapachet passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2014 at the age of 94. He was born on a dairy ranch on Trimble Road in San Jose, CA on Sept. 20th 1919 to Henry and Loentine Lapachet. He lived in Willow Glen most of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sylvia Lapachet. Henry first attended Milpitas Grammer School. From there he attended Roosevelt Jr. High and then he went onto San Jose Technical High School where he obtained a degree in sheet metal. After graduation he began using his new found skills as a journeyman. On March 15, 1950 he opened his own business called Pacific Sheet Metal located on 7th Street and he spent nearly 50 years doing what he loved to do! Henry was very proud to be a Catholic and was involved with the Young Man's Institute Council #2 since 1944. He was also a member of the San Jose Elks for many years. He is survived by 6 children, 2 of which were adopted, Marilyn and Ric, with his deceased wife Frances. Henry then married Sylvia in 1978. Sylvia had 4 sons - Ed (Traci), Scott (Donna), John (Kim), and Jerry (Kelsey) whom he loved dearly and treated like his own children. He was very proud of his 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, one of which preceded Henry in death - In loving memory of Ryder. Henry will be dearly missed! Family and friends are invited to a service held at Oak Hill Funeral Home, Chapel of Roses on Friday, March 7th at 6pm.
