Ed passed peacefully at his home. Born in Stettler, Alberta, Canada, he spent his childhood years between the Yukon Territory and Alaska. He met his wife of 54 years, Dorothy, while living in Juneau. He earned his BS in accounting from theUniversity of Alaska, then served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant-Signal Corps at Fort Ord, CA. The family moved to San Jose in 1964 and he worked in the bay area as an accountant for over 50 years. Ed loved all sports, especially golf. He also loved to travel, read, and spend time with his family. He will be remembered as a devoted father who put his family first. He was an active member of St. Victor's parish. Ed is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy, daughter Dianne (Keith) McNeal, sons Dan, Mark (Judy), and Gene; and his 6 cherished grandchildren, Lianne, Kathy, Lauryn, Garrett, Ryan, and Carson.
A celebration of his life will be held at St. Victors Church, 3108 Sierra Road, San Jose, CA on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at 11am. Charitable contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley or a .
