Passed away Monday evening March 31, 2014 after a long illness with Lupus.
Linda graduated from Holy Cross High School in Mountain View, class of 1965. She attended College of San Mateo and shortly after was a flight attendant with Western Airlines. She went on to work for Dr. Roger Wagner in Palo Alto.
She married her one and only sweetheart, Dennis Chargin August of 1969. They celebrated their 44th anniversary last year. They have been long time residents of both San Jose and Menlo Park. She is survived by her loving husband Dennis Chargin, her 3 children,Tony Chargin of Los Angeles, Joe Chargin of San Jose, and Kathryn Chargin of San Jose. And her grandchildren Chase & Smith Chargin of Los Angeles.
Linda is also survived by her 3 brothers, Jim Baynes , Dennis Baynes , Ken Baynes and 2 sisters Lynn Baynes Anderson and Lorrie Baynes Papangellin along with 10 nieces Nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.
Linda was born to be a mother and she filled that role in some capacity to every person who knew her. Her life was spent in service to all those around her whether in her occupation as a medical assistant or in her everyday family life. She was a fighter. Her battle with lupus over many years, and her determination to not only survive but do so with dignity, was an inspiration to each and every one us.
Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Friday, April 4, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave., Sunnyvale. Funeral Service Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Clare Chapel on the grounds of Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Lupus Foundation or the American Red Cross in Linda's name.
