David Carl Teeple Obituary
David Carl Teeple
April 6, 1926 - April 10, 2014
Resident of San Jose
David "Dave" "Poppy" Carl Teeple age, 88.
Born in Ceres California April 6 1926, ascended into heaven on April 10 2014. Dave was preceded in death by parents Emma and William "Bill Teeple, wife, Dorothy Teeple, brothers Harold, Bill, Roy and Dean Teeple, and sister Grace Jones, survived by sisters Marylou Butera, Lois Pelligrino and sister in-law Jean Teeple. Father of five daughters, Donna Miller, husband Jim, Debbie Goni, Diane Teeple Melo, husband Carlos, Doreen Avila, husband Gerald, Deon Teeple and Carlos Martinez, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Dave grew up in Saratoga and always considered it his home. He attended Saratoga Grammar School and graduated from Los Gatos High School, served in the US Infantry during WWII. Dave's illustrious career in the dairy industry forged lifelong friendships throughout the state. He started making ice cream for Meadow Gold, took a position in sales and marketing with Golden State/Foremost Foods, and in 1982 was employed as director of sales and marketing by Producers Dairy, where he retired (several times). Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who loved his family and his many friends. He had a positive outlook on life and will be remembered for many things: his delicious barbeques, his food for thought, his saying of, "Keep the faith," his love of people, his love for his career, his love of telling stories, his love of sports, his love for music, (he had a beautiful voice, played the harmonica and guitar), his love for the Lord, but his greatest love was for his wife, as he loved her more.
The family wishes to publicly thank: Marylou Butera, Ed and Marie Hansen, the Shehadey family, Sheila Denier, Fred Tucker and Optimal Hospice of Santa Clara. Graveside service at 11:30 on Wednesday, April 23 at Madronia Cemetery, Saratoga. Remembrances to Optimal Hospice of Santa Clara or donations of your choice.
