Rose C. Santora Obituary
Rose C. Santora
Resident of Millbrae
Age 93, passed away on April 17, 2014. Rose was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Schenley High School and started her long career with the telephone company. She met her husband Tony (deceased) while he was in the Navy and married in 1945. She always said she couldn't resist a man in uniform. They moved to San Francisco and settled in Millbrae where they raised their family. She continued to work for Pacific Bell until she retired in 1984. Friends and family could always count on a great Italian meal from Rose. She loved to cook and enjoyed the company of extended family and friends who visited her regularly. She had an extraordinary love for her family and sincere devotion to her faith. She is survived by her loving children: Maryanne Warwick (Bob) and Peter Santora (Sarah). She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Douglas Warwick, Jessica Santora Mills (Gavin), Michael and Stephen Santora, and one great-granddaughter, Kenley Mills.
Services will be held to celebrate Rose's life on Monday, April 21, at 11:00 am, at Holy Cross Cemetery (All Saints Chapel) in Colma. In lieu of flowers, if you desire, you may send a donation in Rose's memory to: Tutwiler Clinic, a clinic providing health and welfare services to the needy, P.O. Box 462, Tutwiler, MS 38963-0462 (
