Lena Fontana Obituary
Lena Fontana
Resident of Los Altos
Lena was born June 14, 1920 in Santa Cruz, CA, and died in peace in her home on April 28, 2014.
She is preceded in death by Louie Fontana (husband) and Roy Pini (brother). Lena is survived by her daughters Carole Fontana and Christine Fontana (husband Joe Dunn); grandchildren Arron Eaton (wife Jennifer Eaton), Bridget La Roche (husband Ryan La Roche); great-granddaughter Lena Louise Laroche; sister Francis Dedora, and sister-in-law Aldiva Fontana.
Lena was a member of St Simon's Parish, the Peninsula Senior Social Club, and the ICF. She worked in food service at Foothill College. Her faith was expressed through prayer, cooking for monthly senior lunches and precision ironing of altar pieces. Her many friends throughout the world found her love of life to be a true inspiration. Lena left us in the kindest way possible, with grace and beauty.
