Conti, Helen Lucille – born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 4, 1924. Passed away on June 24, 2014 at home in Sunnyvale, CA. Loving wife and widow of Mario Pasquale Conti, Sr. and adoring mother of Mario Pasquale, Jr. (deceased). Survived by her daughter Barbara Conti of Sunnyvale, CA, loving grandmother of Roy Manzanares, Oakland, Patricia Cava, Pinole, and Cristina Manzanares, San Francisco, CA; caring grandmother-in-law to Julie Manzanares and Nickclair Cava, and dear great grandmother to Sophia and Mario Manzanares and Julia Cava and her siblings, Dorothy Davis of North Scituate, RI, Vincent Joseph Diffley (deceased) of San Francisco, Marguerite Petereit (deceased) of Fresno, Rosena Kresl of Washougal, WA, Maureen Gilmore of Pawtucket, RI. She is also survived by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Helen was a member of the AT&T Pioneers as a retiree of AT&T, served as President of the Women's Club at Casa de Amigos, Sunnyvale, CA, was an avid bowler in the 70's and 80s, winning many trophies. She will be remembered by all who loved her by her amazing laughter, strong determination and her commanding presence everywhere she went. Helen and Mario were amazingly dedicated to each other and were true inspirations to the family members left behind and for those family members yet to be. Helen and Mario will be reunited with their son, Mario Pasquale Conti, Jr. in their final resting place in Schenectady, NY.
Family and friends are invited to a Rosary at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Spangler Mortuary, 174 N. Sunnyvale Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1st at 11 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church, 590 Central Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA. Family and friends are invited to DeMarcos and Stone Mortuary for 10 a.m. viewing followed by services, and interment at St John the Baptist Cemetery.
