Beth Saville 91, passed away peacefully at her home June 25, 2014. Beth was born June 17, 1923 to Samuel and Gladys Edney Jensen in Columbia, Utah. She lived in many different places beginning with her birth place in Columbia (UT), and then on to Salt Lake City (UT), Rock Springs(WY), St. Louis (MO), Dallas (TX), and San Jose (CA). Reed and Beth also lived for a time in Tehran, Iran. Beth married her sweetheart Reed C. Saville on July 30, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah in Reed's parents' front room. This was during World War II and Reed was working for AT&T. Beth was working at the DuPont Arms Company in Salt Lake City inspecting 50 caliber bullets. During that time, Reed was drafted into the army signal corp. and served in Germany, while Beth stayed in Salt Lake living in an upstairs bedroom of Reed's parents. Upon his return, they were transferred over the next few years to many different areas with their growing family. Reed and Beth loved to travel with family and friends. They went on several cruises all over the world and also loved to go camping in their RV. Beth was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. Beth had a strong testimony and love for her Savior Jesus Christ, and showed it in every part of her life. She and Reed served a mission for their church as employment specialists in the San Jose Mission. Beth had many talents. She was very well known for her cooking and baking skills and published a cookbook of her favorite family recipes. She also enjoyed sewing and making items for her home and family. She was known for through fabulous parties. Beth loved life and spending time with her children and their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Reed, her children: Gary (Colleen), Colleen (Bob) Howell, and Brad (Tammy), 12 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marie McDonald, two brothers Ernie Jensen & Dee Dee Jensen, and a great grandson, Gabriel Saville. Beth was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Beth will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6625 Camden Ave. San Jose, CA 95120. Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 11AM. A viewing will be held from 9:30A.M.-10:45 A.M. prior to the church service. The interment will follow the services at Los Gatos Memorial Park 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose, CA 95124.
