Resident of Los Gatos
Bob passed away at home, surrounded by his family. He was born to Fred and Frances Beyer in Modesto, Ca. Bob graduated from SF State with a degree in Social Science. Bob was awarded an internship with the Coro Foundation in Public Affairs. His career spanned 45 years in local government where he served as City Manager to Redevelopment Deputy in San Jose and retired with the City of San Mateo as Director of Community Development. Bob also had his own consulting business for 10 years. He was on many non-profit boards his last being Acknowledge Alliance which was very dear to his heart. He served on the General Planning Commission for the city of Los Gatos.
He is survived by his wife: Tish, daughters: Kari (Jason) Unruh, Jennifer Kron, and sons: Willie Kron (Jessica), Chris Kron and three sisters: Roberta Beyer (twin), Carolyn Straub and Betty Lou (Robert) Latta. He will be missed by his 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a man of action who was wise and kind. His powerful inner strength exuded decency, respect and fairness. He was connoisseur of fine wines and a life long tennis player. He lived the quote: "The world is changed by your example not your opinion" We will celebrate his life on October 1, 2016 at the Rinconada Hills Clubhouse, Los Gatos from 6-8.
