She also served on the Lowell High School Alumni Association Board, and contributed to many other community organizations. An avid Francophile, she continued to study French at the Alliance Franaise and in private classes throughout her life. Her life's passion was speaking and translating the French language as well as traveling to France. Other interests included reading, knitting, and needlepointing, as well as spending time with her many friends in the community.
